This hand-drawn 2D action-platformer takes place in a dark world shaped by cosmic horror. The arrival of the Red Star begins a new age, and the Simulacrum emerges from its cocoon with one clear purpose: gather Ichor, the blood of the gods, from the creatures that keep it. The journey leads through the ruins of the First Civilisation and far below the damaged surface.

Exploration moves across connected areas. The route passes through places such as the scorched Surface, the frozen tunnels of the Old Waters, the corrupted Court, and the biomechanical remains of the Abandoned Expedition. New abilities make it possible to reach previously blocked paths, search hidden corners, and uncover more of the setting's history.

Combat focuses on quick movement, precise controls, and fights against a wide range of enemies. More than 70 hostile creatures and 11 bosses stand between the Simulacrum and its goal. Relics and Souls provide different ways to approach these encounters, offering active powers, spectral weapons, passive bonuses, and other effects that can be combined to suit a preferred style.

The shrine starts as a small cult hidden among the ruins. Expanding it reveals additional treasures, abilities, secrets, and darker discoveries. This gives exploration a second purpose beyond opening the next route, since progress can also change what becomes available at the central refuge.

After completing the main journey, New Game+ adds three modifiers that trade safety for extra power. The result is a single-player adventure built around exploration, character upgrades, demanding battles, and a strange world filled with ancient relics and fallen gods.
