The Whispering Valley GOG giveaway

The Whispering Valley is a folk-horror point & click adventure where you explore a quiet village and untangle a mystery through investigation and puzzle solving. Set in Quebec in 1896, the story takes you to Sainte-Monique-Des-Monts a place left largely abandoned, weighed down by a secret the remaining residents can’t escape. Something else lingers there too: a shadow that some people have seen, others only heard whispering through the valley.

Inspired by classic horror adventures, the game leans into old-school point & click fundamentals: exploring detailed locations, talking to characters, managing an inventory, and using (and combining) objects to move forward. The village is designed as a full-scale environment to roam through doors open, buildings can be entered and the 360° panoramic view with zoom lets you examine small details that might matter later. When visibility drops, you can use a lantern to light your surroundings.

Puzzles aim for a grounded, realistic feel to match the setting not surreal “anything goes” logic but they’re still meant to be challenging. Progress also comes from careful reading and observation: letters, correspondence, and character relationships are part of how you piece together the truth behind what happened in Sainte-Monique-Des-Monts.
