State of Mind GOG giveaway

"State of Mind" is a futuristic thriller from Daedalic Entertainment about transhumanism, the gap between a messy material world and a polished digital one. Berlin, 2048: resources run thin, air and water make people sick, crime climbs, and war hangs in the background. Governments and companies sell progress as the fix. Drones and humanoid robots take over public jobs, everything is networked, and surveillance never really clocks out.

Richard Nolan is one of the few journalists still loud about that trade-off. After an explosion he wakes in a hospital to find his wife and son gone. What starts as a family crisis pulls him into a wider fight over what humanity should become, dystopian streets on one side, a frictionless virtual utopia on the other.

The story asks hard questions without handing easy answers: could a perfect digital paradise end material need, or would a super-AI decide people are optional? You play as Richard and five other characters, piecing the past together through exploration, deduction, and research. The look mixes realistic spaces with low-poly people. Adventure, indie, single-player, full controller support. Out August 15, 2018 on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
