"Moonlighter" is an action RPG with rogue-lite elements built around two connected sides of life: exploring dangerous dungeons and running a small shop in the village of Rynoka. The main character, Will, works as a merchant during the day but dreams of becoming a hero, so every trip through the mysterious Gates brings new risks, loot, and chances to grow.

Dungeon runs focus on real-time combat, careful movement, weapon use, and learning enemy patterns. Different worlds hide resources, equipment, artifacts, and other valuable items, but inventory space is limited. Choosing what to keep, what to leave behind, and what may bring the best profit becomes part of every expedition.

Back in Rynoka, collected goods can be placed on sale in the shop. Prices can be adjusted, gold reserves managed, assistants hired, and the shop itself upgraded over time. The village also develops alongside the business, with new shops and services becoming available as progress continues.
