"Cardpocalypse" is a single-player RPG built around collectible card battles, deckbuilding, and a story inspired by the 1990s. The adventure begins at Dudsdale Elementary, where a new school rule suddenly bans the card game everyone loves. What starts as a playground problem becomes much bigger when creatures from the game begin appearing in the real world.

Card battles are the main way to deal with the growing trouble. Decks are built around Champion cards, each with its own abilities and role in a match. The goal is to reduce the opposing Champion's health to zero, while your own cards help control the fight. When a Champion loses enough health, it can transform into a Mega version with stronger attacks and new powers.

The interesting part is that the card game itself can change during the adventure. Rules and conditions may be altered, cards can be renamed or upgraded with stickers, and completely new cards can be created with the Mega Mutant Power Magazine. These changes are permanent, so choices made along the way can shape the deck and the way future battles are played.
